Yesterday while working a territory with John & Diane Eckmire, a man tapped John on the shoulder to explain his wife was a witness. To make a long story short, he asked for a Bible study! His contact information was taken and a follow up will be made. The day before, a witness couple visiting here from England walked out of their apartment on their way to the service group and a woman stopped them in the street, you guessed it, to ask for a Bible study. These experiences aren't altogether unheard of. There is an evident desire for people's spiritual needs to be met. Seldom a day goes by where we don't find a shopkeeper sitting and reading our magazines. When working door to door we find many Ecuadoreans that cannot speak English but get their point across that a family member worships Jehovah, and they're so proud to tell us!
After finishing up in the territory yesterday afternoon we were walking towards the bus terminal and had a wee little single engine train come rolling towards us in the street. The video below shows what we saw. It looks brand new and seems to be made to provide sightseeing tours. It was being backed into the train station.
