Haircut and Election Day

Since today was election day and the meetings and field service were cancelled (had our meetings Saturday morning), we decided to visit some of the friends who live nearby in the countryside.  We tried getting on a bus but the buses were crammed full beyond anything weve ever seen.  All day people were on the move to go vote in the town where they were registered.  We took a $2.00 cab and visited John and Shelly Costa.  John just retired as a barber for 50 years in California.  They've moved here permanently just 2 months ago and John brought all his barber equipment with him.  This was my 2nd. haircut from him, Fred was next.

Upstairs we faced the window with an amazing view of Mt. Imbabura.

Meanwhile the girls were downstairs having a visit together.

I saw this nice map on our friends blog, Brendan & Sarah Janda.  I've posted it here to give you an idea of the relationship of the cities that make up the English congregation's territory.  We live in Cotacachi.  The Kingdom Hall is in Atuntaqui. Ibarra is a large city and Otavalo is somewhat smaller.  More than a territory of 400 thousand population for 36 publishers to search for English speaking persons.
