More photos of our trip to Zuleta a few weeks ago.
We stopped at a Hacienda (ranch) several miles off the main road in the countryside to get a guide.
Hiking through a beautiful valley to see a condor nursery, trout breeding ponds and wildlife.
Wildlife freely roaming
Water wheel powering low voltage DC lighting
Observing the condor nests from a distance.
A piston pump powered by water.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch . . . . .
Recycling - even way out here.
We headed to the village where a famous Kitchwa embroidery shop was located.
Then to cap the long day off, a meal at Sumac here in Cotacachi.
A fancy dessert of melons and ice creams.
